A Message From Our Principal

Principal's Welcome

Welcome to OakTree College — a place where every young person is seen, valued, and supported to reach their potential.

On behalf of the entire OakTree College community, I warmly welcome you to our school. Whether you are a student, family member, referrer, or someone interested in learning more about our work, we are pleased to introduce you to OakTree College.

At OakTree, we believe every young person deserves access to a high-quality education, regardless of their background or previous school experience. Many of our students come to us after experiencing challenges in education or in their personal circumstances. We provide a fresh start in a safe, respectful and supportive environment where students are encouraged to re-engage with learning and achieve success.

Our programs — the Victorian Pathways Certificate (VPC) and the VCE Vocational Major (VM) — designed to support students at different stages of their educational journey. Rather than replicating a traditional school experience, we offer a curriculum that is practical, relevant and connected to everyday life. Students develop literacy, numeracy, personal development and work-related skills in small, supportive classroom settings.

Student wellbeing is central to our work. We recognise that students achieve their best outcomes when they feel safe, respected and connected to their school community. Students have access to a range of supports, including counselling, mental

health services, meal support, transport assistance, and language and cultural support where required.

Our staff are experienced in working with young people who benefit from flexible, trauma-informed and individualised support. They are committed to building positive relationships with students and creating learning environments where every student can thrive.

We take great pride in the achievements of our students and the pathways they pursue beyond OakTree College. Whether students move into employment, apprenticeships, TAFE, further education or community participation, we celebrate their growth, progress and success.

I invite you to explore our website and learn more about the opportunities available at OakTree College. If you are considering enrolment or would like further information about our programs and support services, please contact our team. We look forward to speaking with you.
