A Message From Our Principal
Principal's Welcome
Welcome to OakTree College — a place where every young person is seen, valued, and supported to reach their potential.
On behalf of the entire OakTree College community, I warmly welcome you to our school. Whether you are a student, a family member, a referrer or someone simply learning more about what we do — we are glad you are here.
At OakTree, we believe that every young person deserves access to high quality education, regardless of their background or previous school experience. Many of our students arrive having faced significant challenges — in their schooling, in their lives, or both. What we offer is a fresh start in a safe, respectful and genuinely caring environment.
Our programs — the Victorian Pathways Certificate (VPC) and the VCE Vocational Major (VM) — are designed to meet students where they are. We do not simply replicate mainstream schooling. Instead, we provide a curriculum that is practical, relevant and connected to real life. Students develop literacy, numeracy, personal development skills and work readiness in small, supported classroom settings.
Beyond academics, we are deeply committed to the whole-person wellbeing of every student. This means access to counselling and mental health support, meal support, transport assistance, language and cultural support, and an environment where students from all backgrounds are welcomed and celebrated.
Our staff is passionate, dedicated, and experienced in working with young people who need flexible, trauma-informed, and person-centred support. They bring both professional expertise and genuine care to everything they do.
We are also proud of the pathways our students create beyond OakTree — into employment, further training, apprenticeships, TAFE, and community life. Seeing students grow in confidence and step into their futures with purpose is what drives everything we do here.
I invite you to explore our website, connect with our team, and learn more about what makes OakTree College a special place. If you are a student or family considering enrolment, please do not hesitate to reach out — we would love to hear from you.
